NHL management agreed with the players’ representatives that a series of rounds, which will take place with only three victories, will be followed by a regular play-off match in the attempt.
Force completed the following season coronavirus break. In each subsequent phase of the Stanley Cup battle, four opponents will need to be defeated to advance. However, there will be a change in the deployment of individual groups.
The world’s best hockey season, which was interrupted by the pandemic on March 12, will be completed by 24 teams instead of the usual sixteen with a field starting to expand. Years have passed for the seven worst clubs. It will be played in two central places, not yet identified among a dozen candidates. It is not even clear when it can start playing again.

What is certain, however, is that the Stanley Cup will at least be as long as fans are used to it. In addition, NHL management has agreed with the Players Association (NHLPA) that the normal deployment for the entire playoff round will not apply, but will be redeployed after each round.
Goalkeeper Mrázek does not consider continuing NHL as one hundred percent
Prague – Hockey goalkeeper Petr Mrázek from Carolina still does not 100% consider that the currently interrupted NHL will play again. In recent days, the competition management board has finished the basic part and introduced a model with playoffs for 24 teams.
However, the 28-year-old Czech goalkeeper pointed out some question marks. He also wants them to be played with fans in the stands. But the current plan doesn’t take that into account.
There has been speculation in recent days about the variation with a prolonged play-off match. The player has information from a representative of the player association. But Hurricane support did not anticipate that this solution would take place.
Under the current plan, NHL should start as early as early July and August and should only be played in two cities. All players should live in a hotel and be under constant control. For example, they should be tested daily for coronavirus.
